Bellevue Alpine Lodge - a classic mountain hotel near Chamonix

More than a 100 year old the Bellevue has been run as a small mountain hotel. From being a small family run hotel the Bellevue is today owned by Danish partners and run by a british couple. The house has over the last 10 years undergone considerable renovations to cater for todays standards.

Guests can choose between B&B, half and full board. The atmosphere is genuine, the food hearty and prices modest. Bellevue has become a very cosy place to stay and for people travelling by, to have lunch or drinks on the terrace.

Rooms

Our rooms are clean and spacious and are found on the first and second floor of the lodge. We twin, double and family rooms (3-4 persons). All of the rooms share common toilet and shower facilities on each floor. Linens and quality duvets are provided. All of the rooms have nice views of the surrounding mountains, some with a balcony. Those staying in rooms can choose between B&B, half or full board.

 

 

 

 

 

Dorms

The dorm area on the ground floor is clean and pleasant – a cheap and cheerful alternative to the rooms on the upper floors. Here, you share a fully equipped kitchen, toilet and shower facilities with a maximum capacity of 8 people. Obviously, you are also welcome to enjoy the bar and lounge upstairs as well as ordering all of the meals you wish. There is blankets available, but it is obligatory to use a sleeping bag liner (or your own sleeping bag).

 

 

 

 

 

Dining hall

Our guests enjoy the charming atmosphere of a traditional mountain lodge. The lounge and dining room are the heart of the lodge. The dining room features beautiful mountain views and is furnished with rustic wooden tables and chairs.

For more than a century, the lodge guests have met at our small but welcoming bar for an afternoon beer, aperitif or a nightcap and exchanged stories recounting their experiences in the mountains. 

Ski and drying room

At the ground-level we have a large ski room with boot heaters and a work bench where you can work on your skis.
