Where to find us

So how do I get there? Read this information and click the map on the right for a little help once in Vallorcine.

By road:
From Geneva/Lyon:

Go onto the Autoroute Blanche towards Chamonix, then from Chamonix pick the Route Nationale 506 towards Argentière, then pass over the Col des Montets (1461m) direction Switzerland. Approximately 300m after the Col des Montets, pass the little village of Le Buet, cross a little bridge and – voilà, the Bellevue Alpine Lodge, 100m after the bridge on the right.
In case the Col des Montets is closed due to high avalanche risk, you will be able to drive to Vallorcine via the train tunnel from Montroc at certain hours.

From the North: Via Switzerland (Zurich or Basel to Bern, then Montreux).

From Montreux it is another 50km on the highway, before you reach Martigny. Follow directions to France, Chamonix, Col du
Forclaz (1527 m). After passing the Col you will get to Châtelard, the small border village between France and Switzerland.

Drive through Vallorcine past the ‘Mairie’ (townhall) and railway station to the right, until after 300m you will find the Bellevue Alpine Lodge, situated on the right side of the road.

During winter we highly recommend to have snow chains in the car, and to know how to use them.

By train:

You can go by train from either Switzerland (Martigny – a very scenic train ride) or with TGV to St. Gervais, then take a train via Chamonix to the little train station of Le Buet.
The Bellevue Alpine Lodge is 5 min by foot from the train station, towards Vallorcine.

By plane:

The closest airport is in Geneva (1.5 hours by car).
Look on www.chamonix.net for different transfer options. Bellevue has a bus that can fit up to 6 persons. You can book for Bellevue to pick you up in Geneva. The price is 300 Euros each way.
